Quality Engineer

The purpose of this position is to ensure the design, process, and shipment to customer exceeds their expectations. Key responsibilities would include: Supporting cross- functional teams through product design and manufacturing processes. As well as work to improve processes and quality assurance activities in accordance with company goals and ISO 9001 standards.

What you will do:

  •  Learn, teach and apply principles of lean manufacturing where applicable.
  • Communicate with employees, supervisors, and management in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Provide engineering support to operations to ensure consistent application of quality techniques.
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues.
  • Determine capability, tolerancing, and material related processes.
  • Write and revise PSS Work Instructions and Quality System Procedures.
  • Assist in the training of new processes for the employees.
  • Assist Quality Manager in ISO procedures and audits.
  • Participate in the development of FMEA and PPAP’s
  • Determine and develop effective measurement techniques to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Works as a project lead as new projects are needed.
  • Continuing education, both independently and with the assistance of external sources.
  • Performs other duties as requested.

CNC Maintenance Technician

The purpose of this position is to oversee the installation and maintenance of production equipment which will include installing new equipment, performing regular services and maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting equipment breakdowns. Responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and mechanical equipment to ensure cleanliness and continued good operating condition.

What You Will Do:

  • Advanced troubleshooting of mechanical/electrical issues and repair of all types of machines in manufacturing facility. Includes general and preventative maintenance on production machines. Maintain tracking of all maintenance activities and costs using a database.
  • Perform general and preventative maintenance on production machinery. Maintain tracking of all maintenance activities and machine downtime using logs, files, and database on work performed. Initiate purchase requests to have repair parts ordered. Work with outside vendors in person and over the phone.
  • Replacement of ball screws, bearing, linear guideways, hydraulics, pneumatics, and alignments on CNC Lathes and Mills.
  • Troubleshooting ladder or other logic, backup or loading of software, control networking to computer, replacing motors, drivers, encoders, solenoid valves, relay fuses, and pumps, and read schematics.
  • Provide related routine reports to management. Contribute to continual improvement and promote an effective team-oriented approach to problem solving.
  • Assists in general building maintenance repairs/small construction projects, and any other mechanical projects that need to be performed. Maintains departmental housekeeping standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned and requested.

What You Will Bring:
Our ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant experience and the following credentials/skills:

  • Previous CNC maintenance experience 3-5 years
  • Experienced in mechanical/electrical maintenance on CNC machine tools
  • Preventative maintenance on CNC or other machinery helpful
  • Welding/fabrication experience a plus
  • Pneumatics and hydraulic experience
  • Computer literate
  • Full knowledge of hand, power tools, and proficient using precision measuring instruments
  • Read, write, and speak English proficiently
  • Understand mechanical, electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic principals and their possible interaction. Have mechanical aptitude and knowledge of industrial maintenance practices, troubleshooting and repairs
  • Able to work on scaffolds, lifts, ladders, in awkward positions, and on feet for long periods of time
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. manipulate, and position heavy machine components and motors. May require repeated bending, reaching, and crouching
  • Read prints, parts lists, assembly drawings, operating manuals, and troubleshooting instructions
  • Familiarity with schematics and distributed control systems
  • Follow safe practices and observe ergonomic principles and guidelines
  • Able to work independently and in a team
  • Strong customer service skills to interact effectively with clients and coworkers

Shift Information

1st shift is considered Monday – Thursday 6am – 4pm, Friday OT 6am – 2pm. 
2nd shift is considered Monday – Thursday 4pm – 2am, Friday OT 2pm – 10pm. 
3rd shift is considered Sunday – Wednesday 8pm – 6am, Thursday OT 10pm – 6am
